It will open up a .WMV movie (36MB) which I produced and posted on YouTube and Google Video. Unfortunately those versions became pretty blurry when they were uploaded, so I'm suggest watching the original file. The web site is awesome and I hope this video does it justice! Take a look! Thoughts on Microsoft Office Live This page serves as my practical test of Microsoft Office Live; a free website service for small business. I've been curious about some of the "free website" offerings recently (wondering if its gotten any easier/ better since the days of Geocities). After seeing that Microsoft offers free domain name registration with their free accounts (which totally wasn't the case 2 years ago,) I figured I'd give it a try. Although the templates are an obvious complaint, less obvious is the fact that the pages crash when I try to insert third party code (widgets) from other sites. Also, you can only edit the site in IE, which I absolutely hate. I would say that the service seems easy to use though, for beginners. That said, I'd like to thank Microsoft for a totally personalized domain name and website at no cost to myself. Not bad. |
